This is my second favorite Kobe Bryant game of all-time. I have never ever seen him so focused, furious and determined to win. After a 2-12 first half, Bryant explodes for 40 in the 2nd half, single-handedly beating the mighty clippers. These aren’t your grandfathers clippers, they are the new and revamped contendors that made it to the second round of the playoffs. Kobe’s full arsenal is on display as he makes three pointers like they are layups. It’s as if you can literally see the will being sucked out of the other team. This game is another convincing argument for why Bryant is the games best shooter as well.
Kobes nails contested three pointers with such ease that one begins to wonder if anyone else can even come close to his skill level. Bryant did not even smile once throughout this game, and his focus is beyond belief.
*Kobe had just come off a 48 point, 19-29FG, 7-7 3PT, game vs the Sixers on Friday night. Combine this with his 50 the next day vs the clippers and Bryant’s two day total came out to 98 points in 48 hours. Not a bad weekened at the office.
*Kobe made 4 consecutive shots to start the 4th quarter.
