In a conversation moderated by Los Angeles Times music critic Ann Powers, USC School of Cinematic Arts professor Todd Boyd, USC Annenberg School for Communication professor Josh Kun, and American studies and ethnicity doctoral candidate Imani Kai Johnson (USC College of Letters, Arts and Sciences) reflect on hip-hop’s complex, 30-year history, panelists explore its growing influence in American popular culture and politics. The program, held October 8, 2007, was sponsored by Visions and Voices: The USC Arts and Humanities Initiative, USC Libraries and Los Angeles Institute for the Humanities.

The documentary is set in Istanbul, It´s more or less about Turkeys accessiontalks with European Union, what the young generation of the turkish population, press chief editors and people in Istanbul Turkey have for ideas concerning Turkey as a possible member country in EU. A new short film about the recent DEA drug bust at San Diego State University that resulted in almost 100 arrests, including students majoring in criminal justice and Homeland Security. The ongoing sting operation that lead to the arrests was a direct response to the death of SDSU student Shirley ‘Jenny’ Poliakoff from an overdose last year.

This video helps to explain the coming stock market crash and the effects it will have on all of us. It is part of a series. This video begins to explore some of the reasons for the crash and this segment asks why Goldman Sachs was placing very large bets in mid-December 2007 that the stock of numerous money center banks would lose half of their value in the next 3 years. This segment also explores the role of massive leverage in accelerating the crash and touches upon the role of the crash of the real estate market in Florida in 1927 was a major trigger for the 1929 stock market crash. This series of videos will be used in a documentary to be entered into the Sundance Film Festival next year.
