Alright, so this is a video that I’d had planned for a good long while… ever since I heard the song for the first time, in fact. This video is, in essence, a tragedy. It’s about Boromir, but focuses mostly on his death.

The song is “Untitled (How Could This Happen to Me)” by Simple Plan. To address any criticism on my song choice in advance, I realize fully that the song is about an alcohol-related car crash. But I thought that the words and general feeling fit Boromir’s death as well. Also, when you think about it, there are a few similarities; Boromir’s death is linked to his attraction to the Ring. The Ring is somewhat like a drug, or like alcohol. So my mind made the connection.

Clips and music copyright New Line Cinema and Simple Plan, respectively. No copyright infringement intended.

I will be posting all of Korn’s new songs now. I know, they aren’t released, I CAN send them to you, but politely send ONE message, if i see more then that then you don’t get these songs

Lyrics:

Got to face your fear
lying on the floor
Step into nothing, what the hell am I here for’
So come on and play
Stab me in my heart
So long this time was wasted ripping me apart

We are the hurt inside your head
Lost in the void of what is dead
Constantly twisting things I said
Happiness is boring, need pain instead

It’s starting over, starting over
Can’t stand it’s over, God is gonna take me out
My time is over, this time is over
Why is this over’ God is gonna take me out

(God is gonna take me out)

Crawling on the floor
All around this space
Talking to myself
What is this thing I’ve got to face’
Walking through a door
Has it been a waste’
Going on and on thinking I could find my place

We are the hurt inside your head
Lost in the void of what is dead
Constantly twisting things I said
Happiness is boring, need pain instead

It’s starting over, starting over
Can’t stand it’s over, God is gonna take me out
My time is over, this time is over
Why is this over’ God is gonna take me out

God is gonna take me out (God is gonna take me out)
God is gonna take me out

You can’t see
I’m torn away from you and everything that’s
close to me
I cannot face the truth, it’s nothing that
I believe
Just run away from me and thank me when you’re
free from me
Come take me

Come take me
Come take me
Come take me
Come take me

Come take me (We are the hurt inside your head)
(Lost in the void of what is dead)
Come take me (Constantly twisting things I said)
(Happiness is boring, need pain instead)
Come take me (We are the hurt inside your head)
(Lost in the void of what is dead)
Come take me (Constantly twisting things I said)
(Happiness is boring, need pain instead)

Ok, since this is the last song, I will give my review. I was overall disappointed in this album. Jonathan said it would be insane… but it doesn’t feel complete… it doesn’t feel… like Korn, just doesn’t have their sound. I’m a hardcore fan of classic Korn and, being that, I obviously jumped on this album, but I am overall disappointed, it seems like the band didn’t put much effort into much of anything for this album. I feel ripped off.

Edit:
But on a second take, after listening to this album for a couple weeks now: It’s dope shit! I’m glad they’ve taken to a new direction, it’s nothing like their old shit, of course, but they’ve expressed emotions about that. Now they like political views and expressing emotions about Head leaving and “De-evolution” which is completely fine with me. I understand the need for change, and I see where they’ve changed and the advantages it’s had with them. This is a great album. If you like the old shit then just go back and listen to it! there’s enough of those songs that you should be able to move down the list listening to them till your tired of them, and by time you’re done with the list, go back to the beginning. This new direction is redefining Korn and their music, but for good, I mean, how long do you think Jonathan can pull off doing Twist for’ He’s already almost died! Not to mention that he’s aging.

Anyways to close this up I give Untitled a 4 1/2 / 5 stars.

(I might take the downloads off soon, considering people are having a HUGE problem with them. And I still get TONS of e-mails asking if I can give people the album, and half of them say they’re too lazy to go to Rapidshare and try to figure it out. It’s pissing me off. Bye)
Lyrics:

What you gonna do, what you gonna feel
when suddenly I slip away’
Almost am a ghost of who I used to be
yesterday
How you gonna touch and how will you collect
the beauty when it turns to dust’
Every deal we make, the cells we generate
are both of us

Please be aware that I am you
Nothing could be more certain
This ain’t the time, the place for us to
understand this life

Hold you in my arms and hold you in my gaze
Singing with my dying breath
Underneath this earth I resurrect your soul
and nothing less
Sorry for the space, if I could fill the void
an ocean wouldn’t hold the love
And everything I have and all I ever was
is not enough

Please be aware that I am you
Nothing could be more certain
This ain’t the time, the place for us to
understand this life

(I will protect you)
(I will protect you)

Please be aware that I am you
Nothing could be more certain
This ain’t the time, the place for us to
understand this life

This ain’t the time, this ain’t the place
This ain’t the time, this ain’t the place
This ain’t the time, this ain’t the place
This ain’t the time, this ain’t the place
This ain’t the time, this ain’t the place!
This ain’t the time, this ain’t the place!
This ain’t the time, this ain’t the place!

(I will protect you)
(I will protect you)
(I will protect you)
(I will protect you)
(I will protect you)
(I will protect you)
(I will protect you)
(I will protect you)
(I will protect you)
(I will protect you)
(I will protect you)
(I will protect you)
(I will protect you)
